Can’t See Wood is our last exhibition and marks the end of dotdotdot in its current iteration.

We’ve taken everything we’ve learned from the last half a decade and cherry picked our favourite elements and strongest methods to create this celebratory exhibition. But rather than look back at the past and create an anniversary show we want to look to the future of the field itself, in this exhibition we present 17 artists we have never worked with before, their practices reflecting our vision of the future of craft/ material based art.

We are acutely aware of the threat that the arts are facing in Sweden at the moment, and the 17 artists in Can’t See Wood show clearly that art and culture cannot be neatly made into one cohesive ideal. It’s beauty and power is found in its lack of uniformity. This exhibition is our lasting comment on the threatened situation of free art in today’s (global) society.

From our first to our last exhibition all of the artists we have worked with have continuously enriched, pushed and redefined our understanding of art and craft. Showing the breath of the field dotdotdot is deeply proud to have been part of.

Thank you to all the artists and designers we have worked with during the last five years, without you dotdotdot would have literally been nothing.
